Meshsmiths is a marketplace for stylised, game-ready 3D assets. It offers 3,828+ pieces in matching kits, live previews in the browser, a remix workbench for palette, finish, wear and light, and released files in GLB, FBX and USDZ.
The problem with asset stores
Building a game world means finding pieces that look like they belong in the same place. Most asset stores sell single models from many artists, each with its own scale, palette and level of detail. You only discover the mismatch, or the triangle count, after you download.
Meshsmiths sells pieces designed to fit together, and shows the facts before you choose: measured scale, triangle count, supported knobs, released formats and usage rights.
Kits: start with a world, not a model
Pieces are grouped into kits that share a grid and a look. There are 17 families today, including:
- Market Town: shops, stalls, homes and the small details that make a town feel lived in.
- Harbour: quays, boats and dockside scenes.
- Desert: sun-warmed courtyards, canyons and outposts.
- Winter: snow-covered buildings and cosy details.
- Mining: tools, headframes and a working settlement.
- Dream Garden: a Japanese garden with a tea house, pond and bridges.

The remix workbench
The home page shows the idea in one example: a foundry anvil, four palettes and a new mood. You change the actual material, not a filter on an image.
The workbench has four controls:
- Palette: swap the colour set.
- Finish: tune how surfaces respond to light.
- Wear: from freshly made to well travelled.
- Light: preview the piece in different lighting.
Procedural pieces go further. Turn a knob for colourway, wear or size and the browser rebuilds the shape. Changes happen in the preview; the released download keeps its original materials, so what you buy matches the record.
From preview to your engine
| Target | Format |
|---|---|
| Unity and Unreal | FBX |
| Blender and the web | GLB |
| AR and spatial previews | USDZ |
Each release is hash-verified and delivered through signed links on the order page.

Built for AI agents too
Game developers increasingly ask coding agents to assemble scenes. Meshsmiths has a JSON-RPC MCP endpoint with eleven tools, such as search_pieces, get_piece and find_matching. An agent can find a piece, read its dimensions and knobs, check delivery status and place it in a scene.
Discovery calls and the public REST catalogue work without a key. Keyed tools use an account API key with a daily quota.
